It’s safe to say that Black Panther is one of the most anticipated films on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s slate of upcoming films. While fans will have to wait until February of next year to see the film onscreen, a new tweet from one of the film’s stars indicates that the production is right on track for its release date.

Danai Gurira, who plays Dora Milaje member Okoye in Black Panther, recently revealed that she has wrapped filming her role in the film. She shared this through a tweet, which shows the actress alongside several members of the crew. Posing alongside Gurira are a few of her castmates, including Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, and Daniel Kaluuya.

There is no indication when the film will reach the end of its production schedule, especially considering the fact that Gurira’s role in the film is regarded to be significant. But nevertheless, the news that Gurira has finished filming – accompanied by that awesome photo – is sure to get fans even more excited about Black Panther‘s 2018 premiere.
Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.
The film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira , Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. Additional cast members include Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown, and John Kani.
