Nick Blood, who played fan-favorite agent Lance Hunter, is set to reprise his role in the Marvel series.
According to EW, Blood is back on the S.H.I.E.L.D. set and ready to appear in the series once again. While this is great news, there are no details on exactly how long the character will be around, or what brings him back into the fold.
If you recall, Lance Hunter first appeared in the second season of the ABC series along with ex-wife Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki). After the third season, the couple left S.H.I.E.L.D.and were set to star in the Most Wanted spin-off. However, plans fell through and the show never came to fruition.
There’s no word as to when Hunter will return to the S.H.I.E.L.D. team, other than the fact that it will happen this season.
Along with the news, EW released the first photo of Nick Blood back on the S.H.I.E.L.D. set for Season Five.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return to ABC this fall, taking the place of Marvel’s Inhumans when it finishes its first season.
