The Hong Kong-based company Hot Toys has become known for producing high-quality figures based off of popular superhero franchises. Their list of figures inspired by Marvel Cinematic Universe characters almost seems to be growing by the day.

One of the upcoming additions to that lineup is the fan-favorite character Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher.
While the antihero has had several Hot Toys figures made in his likeness before, the newest one is inspired by the most recent portrayal of the character, courtesy of Jon Bernthal on season two of Daredevil. With his performance receiving wide acclaim, as well as a currently-filming spinoff series, it’s a no-brainer that Bernthal’s version of the character would receive the Hot Toys treatment.
And thanks to Hot Toys sculptor J.C. Hong, we now have a preview at what the 1/6 scale figure will look like.
The behind the scenes photo gives an inside look at Hot Toy’s design process, as can be seen by the various reference photos on the computer and desk surrounding the figure.
While the figurine itself is only shown from behind, the picture shows a separate look at Castle’s head, complete with a large bruise underneath his right eye. Underneath the statue are a series of slightly-different hands that will be available with the figure, as well as a series of weapons and (what looks like) a bulletproof vest.
The spec photo peeking out from underneath the statue teases more options for the figure, including Daredevil’s mask. This will be exciting to fans who want their figure to replicate the Hamlet-style promotional photo that was released before Castle’s first appearance on Daredevil.
There is no word on when this figure will be available, and fans will have to wait for a more complete look at it when Hot Toys unveils its usual official photos. If Hot Toy’s online site is any indication, the Punisher figure will retail anywhere from $200 to $250.
If you’re already looking for a companion piece to this Punisher figure, Hot Toys has a figure inspired by Daredevil’s titular character that is currently available for purchase.
Marvel’s’ Iron Fist premieres on Netflix on March 17. Marvel’s The Defenders comes to Netflix later in 2017. There’s no release date for The Punisher as of yet.
