Marvel and Netflix released a playful promo for Marvel’s The Defenders that show Finn Jones, who plays Iron Fist, and Elodie Yung, who plays Elektra, having a pretty spoiler-heavy conversation about the series. Luckily, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is there to object.

Marvel’s The Defenders will bring together the stars of all four of Marvel’s Netflix series to date, though showrunner Marco Ramirez insists the series isn’t simply The Avengers for television.

Marvel’s The Defenders features more than just the core four stars of the Netflix Marvel series. A scene featuring the entire supporting casts of all four series has already been teased.

Marvel’s The Defenders also features the return of Elektra, now the Black Sky, a weapon for the Hand. She’ll have a new personality, a new mission, and a new costume as she goes head to head with her former love, Daredevil, and his newfound allies in the Defenders.

Early reviews for Marvel’s The Defenders are strong, though fans don’t have much longer before they’ll be able to judge the series for themselves. Netflix may be speeding up their output of Marvel television seasons thereafter.

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal โ€“ to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
