As the name suggest, Marvel’s “Story Thus Far” variants attempt to sum up everything that has transpired in a series so far in a single cover image before the series moves on to a new storyline. Judging by the cover, Spider-Man/Deadpool has been quite a story already. The story shows how Deadpool has been trying to turn over a new leaf and be more like his hero, Spider-Man. The cover shows the Deadpool Buggy, his version of the Spider-Buggy, plus the Mercs for Money, Deadpool’s wife Shiklah, Spider-Man’s new black-and-red costume, the mysterious patient zero, a bamf, breakdancing, and more.
Spider-Man/Deadpool is by the fan favorite Deadpool creative team of writer Joe Kelly and artist Ed McGuinness. Spider-Man/Deadpool #9 introduces a new enemy for Spidey and Deadpool, an enemy called Itsy-Bitsy.
Spider-Man/Deadpool #9 goes on sale in comic book stores on September 28, 2016. Check out Todesco’s “Story Thus Far” variant cover, along with official solicitation text, below.
