Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 is one of the most anticipated superhero films of 2017, and we here at Comicbook.com were lucky enough to be invited to the set of the film to talk with the cast and crew!
One of the Guardians franchise stars we had the pleasure of sitting down with was Zoe Saldana, who plays Thanos’ estranged “daughter” (and all around badass female warrior) Gamora. In talking with Saldana, we, of course, had to discuss the wonderful “What Ifs?” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – in this case, which member of The Avengers Gamora would love to battle.
According to Saldana, Gamora would love to battle “The Hulk. Or should I just be more specific? Mark [Ruffalo].” Obviously, that answer comes with some tongue planted firmly in cheek – but the entire point of these hypotheticals is to have some fun discussion, so let’s do that!
Do you think Gamora would ever have a prayer in a battle against The Hulk? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
