Fans were divided over X-Men: Apocalypse, the latest installment of the X-Men movie franchise. Now those fans have had the chance to decide how X-Men: Apocalypse should have ended.

The latest installment of the How It Should Have Ended YouTube series focuses on X-Men: Apocalypse, but uses script ideas submitted by the channel’s fans to the “Let’s Make Another Cartoon Together” video. The results mock the nonsensical nature of Apocalypse’s plans for world domination and invite him to instead explore his true calling, giving people makeovers. There’s also a surprise cameo from a certain very popular mutant, and not the one you’d think.
In X-Men: Apocalypse, since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
X-Men: Apocalypse was directed by Bryan Singer from a screenplay written by Simon Kinberg, and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn and Lucas Till.
X-Men: Apocalypse releases on Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 4, 2016.
