Leslie Jones Talks Wanting To Be Deadpool’s Loud Sidekick

Leslie Jones loves herself some Deadpool, and specifically the man behind the fan favorite character Ryan Reynolds. If she has her way, she would even join the character on screen.

During a recent interview with Seth Meyers, the talented SNL comedian described her love for the actor, but also made sure to throw some props to his wife Blake Lively. She would also love to fight right beside Deadpool if he’s up for having a sidekick.

“Oh my god you read that? First of all, Ryan Reynolds has got to be one of the finest pieces of specimen. Hmph. Blake, you are so lucky, but Blake is bad too so, ya know what I’m saying? I wonder if they compare their badness to each other, like “baby, I’m hotter than you today” ya know? On top of that he’s hilarious, and Deadpool I would love to be just the sidekick, just feeding him back the lines. It would just be so funny.”

As to any special abilities her sidekick might have, only one would matter to Jones. “I just wanna be loud. Just “waaaaahhhh” (screams), everybody’s clothes just come off of them.”

It’s like Black Canary’s sonic scream if that scream just happened to be focused on your wardrobe and not everything within a small city block. Deadpool would surely put that kind of ability to some use.

As for Reynolds, he has been active on social media putting out rumors that the merc with a mouth was set to appear in the upcoming Logan. It turns out that is not happening, with Reynolds saying “No. I want a Deadpool/Wolvie film. But Logan is its own unique & perfect thing. The Big Red S**t-Talker wouldn’t mix with the tone.”

Deadpool‘s Holiday Blu-ray package is now available and retails for $25.99. Deadpool 2 is expected to begin filming next year and is due out January 12, 2018.
