New Wolverine 3: Logan Image Released

After being spoiled with a series of coloful images, the official Logan Instagram account is back in black-and-white mode. The newest image features lots of surgical equipment and medicine placed atop a table (or counter), and the caption reads, "wponx Supply."

Best guess: These supplies could appear in a scene involving the creation of Wolverine's female clone, X-23 (a.k.a. Laura Kinney), or, since Logan doesn't heal as quickly as he once did, he uses them to speed-up his healing process after a messy altercation.

The film will take place in the year 2024, where mutant births have become extremely rare and the defenders of mutant kind, the X-Men, are long gone. The only remains of the species are an old and struggling Charles Xavier and a weary Logan.

The film stars Hugh Jackman (X-Men: Days of Future Past) as Logan/Wolverine and Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: The Next Generation) as Charles Xavier/Professor X. The cast also includes Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl), Richard E. Grant (Game of Thrones), Stephen Merchant (Movie 43), Eriq La Salle (ER), Elise Neal (Scream 2), and Elizabeth Rodriguez (Orange is the New Black).

The film is being directed by James Mangold (The Wolverine), based on a script by Michael Green (American Gods) and David James Kelly (Mind Mgmt).

Logan is set for a March 3, 2017 release from 20th Century Fox.
