Actress Olivia Munn has played it close to the vest as to whether she is reprising her role as Psylocke for X-Men: Dark Phoenix, but a recent comment may have just confirmed her return to the X-Men franchise.

In a recent interview with Collider, Munn maintained her usual response of not directly answering whether she was in the film, but she did say that the film felt like a “two-parter” to her.
“I don’t know what I’m supposed to say,” Munn said. “I’m supposed to be vague. That’s my answer. I’m horrible at this. It’s like a two-parter, this movie. That’s more than I’ve said in general. I don’t know why people have to be so secretive.”
If Munn knows enough about the film to indicate that it’s going to be “like a two-parter,” does this mean that Psylocke will appear in X-Men: Dark Phoenix? While nothing has officially been confirmed, the comment isn’t the first time Munn has given hints that she will be appearing in the sequel to X-Men: Apocalypse. In July, a post the actress made on Snapchat had a location tag of Montreal, Quebec where the film was shooting at the time.
Munn also told Collider about what it’s like to work with Simon Kinberg. While Kinberg has served as producer on previous X-Men films and Munn credits him with her being cast as Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse, the actress was specifically asked about Kinberg in the context of directing Dark Phoenix. Though Munn talked about how she thinks Kinberg will do a great job with the film, she also revealed that working with Kinberg the director made everyone “step up.”
“Working with Simon, as a director, has that similar thing,” Munn said. “It makes it more fun because everyone just steps up, a little bit more.”
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the only film Munn could be describing. The film is Kinberg’s directorial debut.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to hit theaters November 2, 2018.
