Back during production on Spider-Man: Homecoming, a handful of journalists were invited to the set to see stars Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Michael Keaton (Adrian Toomes/Vulture) and co. all going to work. They also learned a lot of the finer details about this new version of Spider-Man (literally) down to the seams of his clothes. As we’ve seen, Tony Stark gives Peter Parker a new costumein what has been dubbed his “Training Wheels Protocol” costume. It’s an advanced tech outfit that Tony later takes back, saying Peter isn’t ready for it.
However, before Spider-Man has to go into a final battle with Vulture in his pajamas, we’ll get to see him discover all the tech in the Training Wheels Protocol costume. READ ON for a bunch of new facts about the gadgets and tech we’ll see!
J.A.R.V.I.S. System
We’ve gotten hints of this during thatย aptain America: Civil Warย post-credits scene, and again inย Spider-Man: Homecomingย trailers: like Iron Man’s armor, Spider-mna’s new costume has a J.A.R.V.I.S.-like operating system.ย

Spider-Drone
One of the standout moments of the latest trailer and its teaser was seeing the Wall-Crawler’s chest insignia fly off his chest.ย
If you’re wondering what that device is, Hausermanย let it be known:ย
“At one point, there’s… the Spider logo on his chest goes [makes motion with hands] and floats off and starts giving him surveillance data, and he’s like, ‘What?’ In fact, that startles him when it happens because he didn’t even know that would happen.”
So basically, Spidey has his own surveillanceย drone that helps his J.A.R.V.I.S. system get the layout of a situation. It comes in handy during a big sequence at the Washington Monument, which fans saw in trailers.ย
New Web-Shooters
As we saw in the latestย Spider-Man: Homecomingย trailer, Spidey has new web-shooting variety in his arsenal – as most notably seen on the Staten Island Ferry scene where he dispatches two muggers with some time-bomb style web shots.ย
Asย Homecomingย producer Eric Hauserman toldย Cinemablend:ย
“…even before [Tony Stark] deactivates the Training Wheels Protocol, he’s got a really high-tech web shooter. And one of the ideas is that when he does this [wrist-flick movement], he can adjust the spray, and he can even scroll through different web settings, like spinning web, web ball, ricochet web… you know, all of the stuff we can see him do in the comics, Tony has built into this. That was sort of unlocked for him.“

Glider Wings
As we saw in the very first teaser trailer, Spider-Man’s costume has web-wings, in the classic Steve Ditko style of the 1960s. This lets Peter Parker sail like he’s wearing a flight suit – something which, again, occurs during the Washington Monument set piece.ย
Holographic Interface
As we saw at the end ofย Civil War, and again in the latestย Spider-Man: Homecomingย trailer, Spideyย will have holographic projections and diagrams like Stark does in his Iron Man armor.ย
Air Bags
One of the coolest things we saw in the trailer was Peter essentially vacuum-sealing into his costume, guaranteeing aย tight and lean Spider-Man fit.ย
Well, it seems that function goes a bit further: Spider-Man’s costume has actualย air bag function. Should come in handy if the kid missteps during one of his wall-crawls…
Parachute
Apparently, at some point during the film, Spidey will need a parachute during an aerial battle with The Vulture.ย
Spidey Lights
Apparently the suit can also do more than shine an elaborate (and trademarked) flashlight: The suit itself lights up!
However, asย Cinemablendย notes, in the film that light function may occur “at an inopportune time.”ย
