Buress plays the part of Coach Wilson in Spider-Man: Homecoming, so naturally, he was going to be at the red carpet premiere. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make it, but not wanting to disappoint, he paid $500 to a look-alike to take his place at the event (via A.V. Club).

The lookalike’s name is Joe Caroll, who posted about the impromptu gig on Instagram, saying “When @hannibalburess hits you up and tells you to crash the red carpet since he couldn’t make it…. You crash the damn red carpet. PS: my driver will NOT STFU…. #standIn #bodyDouble #whichIsWhich #partyCrasher #redcarpet #weAllLookAlikeRight?”

Caroll walked the Carpet without Sony or Marvel knowing, and after finding out it wasn’t Hannibal they have taken out the footage of him walking the carpet from any broadcasts since. Sony has yet to comment.

Spider-Man: Homecoming currently has a 4.14 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings.
