For artist Justin Currie, his love of art truly gained momentum thanks to his friend’s Spawn trading card collection, and he finally felt comfortable enough portraying the popular hero in a new art piece.

Currie, who goes by the moniker Chasing Artwork, is a graphic designer and illustrator who is comfortable in just about any genre. His pieces feature an impressive sense of scale, like in his Power Rangers Fallen Zord and Optimus Prime pieces, and amid the futuristic flourishes are glowing swaths of color that can’t help but draw the viewer’s eye.

His work runs the gamut from superheroes like Daredevil and Ghost Rider to geek culture royalty like Doctor Who, Lords of the Rings, and Power Rangers, just to name a few.

You might know Currie as the artist behind the popular Gotham Gears and Robotic Avengers art series, but he is also developing a new original comic series called Rust and Water. Rust and Water follows a mermaid, a scout bot, and an ancient robot as they explore the depths on a mysterious mission, and as expected the visuals for the book are astounding. The same can be said for his previous comic series, Cassie and Tonk.

His catalog is robust, and several highlights have been included in the gallery, including his two distinct versions of Ghost Rider, Robo-Deadpool, and his stunning recreation of the Gandolf and Balrog showdown.

If you find yourself a fan of his artistic talents, you can find more of his work on Deviant Art, and if you want to grab yourself a print you can head to his art store on Society 6.
