Thor: Ragnarok will feature a bevy of new faces, but one of the most anticipated debuts belongs to Hela, who is being played by Cate Blanchett.
In some new videos from the set of Ragnarok, which is being shot in Brisbane, Australia, there appears to be a woman sitting on some steps clad in all green. Many believe this to be the first look at Hela, as the green theme is rather iconic to the character. One key thing that is missing is the headdress, but if they're in between shooting scenes, she might not opt to wear it (via ComicBookMovie).

You can also see what looks like several other Asgardians in the photos and the video, as well as someone holding a sword on the steps right below Hela, but the angle is too far away to figure out who that may be.
In the comics, Hela is the daughter of Loki and the giantess Angrboda, but it is not the Loki we know currently. As a result of her lineage, Hela is given control over the Kingdom of the Dead, which is home to all those who die an unheroic death. In many cases throughout the years, she has sought to increase her power and control but is often thwarted by Thor or Odin.
You can find out more about the character here. As for Blanchett, she has the acting chops to do some amazing things with the role, and fans will finally be able to see the film come to fruition on November 3rd, 2017.
