Jean Grey is back and she's set to lead her very own team of X-Men.

Marvel Comics today released a video retrospective on Jean Grey's history as an X-Man in the Marvel Comics universe, going all the way back to her debut in X-Men #1 through her upcoming return in Phoenix Resurrection in January.

We now know what Jean's next step will be as the final shot of the video announces X-Men Red, a third color-themed X-Men series joining X-Men Gold and X-Men Blue. The series will be written by Tom Taylor (All-New Wolverine) and drawn by Mahmud Asrar (Wolverine and the X-Men) with covers by Travis Charest. The image teases Jean Grey assembling her own "New team of X-Men."

X-Men Red debuts in February 2018. Check out the video above.

Before X-Men Red can launch, Jean must return from death once more. That event will take place in Phoenix Resurrection, beginning late December and running weekly through January. Yesterday, Marvel revealed a special connecting variant cover for the series by a Walt Disney Animation artist.

Jean died back in the early 2000s in the climax of Grant Morrison's New X-Men series. She was killed by Magneto, who had gone mad on power-enhancing drugs. Since then, she has made some brief appearances in Phoenix-related miniseries and her past-self has been brought to the future to try to forge a new destiny.

Now that younger Jean, in addition to leading her own team in X-Men Blue, is preparing for the return of the Phoenix Force to Earth in the pages of her own Jean Grey series, which may be related to her older self's resurrection. The two versions of Jean Grey actually had a moment to meet in past during the Marvel's Generations event.

Phoenix Resurrection #1 goes on sale December 27, 2017.
