We should probably be thankful that the film is a simple work of fiction because Scott believes that other aliens actually exist and that humans would be wise not to piss them off.

โ€จโ€จWhile speaking with SkyNews in promotion of his sequel to Prometheus, the director indicated he believes there are other beings out there in the universe.

“I believe in superior beings. I think it is certainly likely,” Scott said. An expert I was talking to at NASA said to me ‘have you ever looked in the sky at night? You mean to tell me we are it?’ That’s ridiculous. The experts have now put a number on it having assessed what is out there. They say that there are between 100 and 200 entities that could be having a similar evolution to us right now.”

Scott’s comments indicates that the thinks the aliens won’t be coming in peace when they eventually arrive, and if they come to visit us before we get a chance to discover them, they’re likely far more capable than the human race.

“So when you see a big thing in the sky, run for it. Because they are a lot smarter than we are, and if you are stupid enough to challenge them you will be taken out in three seconds.”

With all of this pessimistic talk of aliens killing humans and three movies about genetically modified monsters terrorizing astronauts, you’d think that Scott would be afraid of extraterrestrials.

You’d be wrong.

“Nothing scares me. I have a 9mm.”

Maybe the next Alien film with be a mix of biography and fiction, titled “Ridley: Alien Killer.”

Alien: Covenant is less than three weeks away, set to release in theaters May 19.
