Today's big Flash news was that The CW is planning an ongoing Flash television series from the Arrow team of producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg and director David Nutter. However, The Hollywood Reporter still isn't giving up on their earlier claims that a Flash movie is in development for a 2016 release date. Buried in their same article about the Flash TV series, The Hollywood Reporter claims that Greg Berlanti will also be developing a Flash movie for Warner Bros. Instead of (or maybe in addition to) the producer role, Greg Berlanti will reportedly be the director of the Flash movie. In addition, Greg Berlanti will co-write the Flash movie screenplay along with Chris Brancato, Michael Green, Geoff Johns and Marc Guggenheim. When news of a Flash movie was previously reported, there had been some speculation among fans that Warner Bros. might be dusting off David S. Goyer's previously written screenplay for a Flash movie. However, if The Hollywood Reporter is correct, then it looks like that will not be the case and that Warner Bros. will be creating a new script.
