Mackie, who has starred in Academy Award winning films such as The Hurt Locker alongside Jeremy Renner and Million Dollar Baby, got his cinematic start in Eminem’s biopic, 8 Mile, where he played Papa Doc – one of the guys Eminem freestyle rapped against. Around here, of course, we know him as Sam Wilson a.k.a. The Falcon and can’t wait to see him in Captain America: Civil War, come May. He has already appeared in two Marvel Studios films: Captain America: The Winter Soldier and this summer’s Ant-Man.
In 2001, Mackie graduated from the prestigious Julliard School. 8 Mile released in 2002. Quick work, Falcon!
