At the Hey Arnold! Live Panel Discussion at New York Comic Con today series creator Craig Bartlett announced that the film would be released on November 24, 2017 — the day after Thanksgiving.
The film’s debut date was hinted at during a panel celebrating NickToons’ 25th anniversary at San Diego Comic Con this summer, but now fans have a specific date for the two-part TV movie named Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie.
The movie is set to Arnold’s class on a trip to the jungles of Central America. Fans may recall that Arnold often dreamed of a jungle located in the fictional San Lorenzo and, at the end of the series, Arnold found a journal from his father that contained a jungle map. This map will loom large for Arnold as his friends as they find themselves on an epic adventure.
Though it’s been over 15 years since the original show aired, it’s been a much shorter length time for the students with Arnold and the gang about to enter middle school.
The upcoming film’s trailer was also released at the panel today as well.
