Amazon listed the upcoming Mera DC Comics Multiverse figure, which is designed after her upcoming film debut. Aside from a detailed look at her cinematic costume, the figure also shows features to swappable hands, each one revealing powerful water based blasts coming from her hands (via Toyark).
As you can see in the gallery, both accessories are designed more like pressure blasts, but Mera is capable of much more. Her Aquakineses abilities allow her to control water much in the same way that Magneto controls magnetism. That means she can create a tidal wave and control it like a hammer or create a water shield at the drop of a hat, though as she recently demonstrated against the Justice League, she is capable of so much more.
In Justice League #24, Mera took on the Justice League single-handedly, with some inspired techniques that floored the League. She couldn’t keep up with the Flash, so she withdrew all of the water from his immediate area, effectively dehydrating him. Hard to run when you’re dehydrated. As for the Green Lanterns, she created a water sheath around their bodies, cutting off contact with their rings.
Perhaps this is what fans can expect from her appearance in Justice League, though her part in that film is likely going to be smaller. Fans might have to wait until Aquaman to truly see what she’s capable of.
You can view the figure on Amazon, which will retail for $19.99 and release on November 15, 2017.
