Warner Premier has released a trio of video clips from the forthcoming Superman vs. The Elite, due to home video and streaming services on June 12. In the film, a loose adaptation of the fan-favorite Action Comics one-shot "What's So Funny 'Bout Truth, Justice and the American Way?", Superman finds himself challenged by a group of violent young heroes who reflect the "extreme" metahumans of the 1990s and early 2000s. As in Kingdom Come, Superman's value to society is questioned by a group of self-styled heroes who are willing to circumvent the law, kill the villains and who seem to fight for the love of fighting more than for any idea of justice or a call to service. The movie is written by Joe Kelly, who also wrote the original comic, which was voted by Wizard magazine (remember them?) as the greatest Superman story of all time and one of the top 30 comics of the last 30 years. It stars George Newbern as Superman (he's the guy who starred in Superman: The Animated Series and wasn't Tim Daly) alongside Pauley Perrette, Downes and David Kaufman. Check out a gallery from the film below, and the videos below that. [gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="5"]
