Comic books have imagined worlds with all manner of things: superheroes, the dead coming back to life, vampires, magic rings, etc., but what about a world in which a real-world problem was to go away? A science-fiction one-shot titled Our Love is Real will explore just such a world, one that has had five years of a vaccine that eradicated AIDS. In this comic's world, humans and dogs are falling in love, "plantsexuals" are running rampant in the street for equal rights, and crystals are no longer just used for jewelry. While this new book focuses on a global issue, a riot cop is the center of this 24-page one-shot. Illustrated in black and white by illustrator Steven Sanders (Uncanny X-Men) , the writing duties will come from the hands of Sam Humphries, who wrote Fraggle Rock for Archaia and CBGB: The Comic Book for Boom! Studios. While the series is only being sold in a few places, with a number of 300 being available, it will be available online here.
