Josh Nizzi is an artist who has worked on several films, including The Amazing Spider-Man for Sony, two Transformers movies, The Wolverine, and several Marvel Studios projects. Recently, he was part of the bullpen of designers Marvel Television brought together to help create Daredevil’s costume for the Netflix TV series, and Nizzi has now revealed two of his costume designs.

It’s interesting to see how far the costume design came. The image labeled “Daredevil 01” โ€“ presumably Nizzi’s first pass โ€“ is a near perfect recreation of Matt Murdock’s “Scarlet Swashbuckler” suit from the comics, only given a more armored texture and grey under layer. That’s quite different from “Daredevil 08,” which shows a suit pretty close to the darker suit Charlie Cox eventually wore on screen.

You can check out both designs in the gallery below.

Daredevil Season 2 premiers on Netflix on March 18.
