DC Comics has just confirmed what Comicbook.com reported last week: the DC Comics relaunch is a big success. Early sales numbers of the Justice League #1 and reports from comic book stores made it obvious things were going well, but DC Comics has now officially revealed just how well. Here are the numbers. According to Diamond Comic Distributors, Justice League #1 is the bestselling comic book for all of 2011, and that's not even counting digital sales. Also, Action Comics #1 is going back to press, and its second printing will push it into the 200,000 copies in print club with Justice League #1. In addition to Justice League and Action Comics, there are eight other DC Comics among The New 52 with print runs of more than 100,000. The other eight titles are Batgirl, Batman, Batman and Robin, Batman: The Dark Knight, Detective Comics, Flash, Green Lantern, and Superman. Here's some even bigger news. All thirteen of the week two titles of The New 52 have sold out from Diamond Comic Distributors and are going back to press. Many had wondered how some of the lesser known titles like Omac and Men Of War would do, and the answer appears to be very well. In addition, all thirteen of the week three titles of The New 52 have sold out from Diamond Comic Distributors in advance of publication. Week three titles include Batman and Robin, Batwoman, Deathstroke, Demon Knights, Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E., Green Lantern, Grifter, Legion Lost, Mister Terrific, Red Lanterns, Resurrection Man, Suicide Squad, and Superboy.
