Another day, another Mallrats 2 casting announcement from Kevin Smith.

Today, writer/director Kevin Smith announced that Bryan Johnson and Walt Flanagan who currently star in AMC's Comic Book Men will reprise their roles from 1995's Mallrats for the upcoming sequel.

Johnson played Steve-Dave Pulasti, an employee at the Comic Toast, a comic book store in the Eden Prairie Mall. Flanagan played Johnson's loyal sidekick Walt 'the Fanboy' Grover and is best known for the catchphrase "Tell 'em Steve-Dave!" They previously reprised their roles for Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

In the original film, Brodie (Jason Lee) becomes agitated when he sees that there is a huge line in front of Comic Toast, preventing him from getting comics. He gets into it with Steve-Dave and Walt before finally being told that the line is for Stan Lee, who is at the store signing comics.
