Two big name horror stars are joining the newest Mortal Kombat game. According to a leaked trailer posted on YouTube, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the Xenomorph from the Alien movies are being added to Mortal Kombat X as part of the upcoming Kombat Pack 2, which will be released in early 2016. Joining the two movie characters are classic Mortal Kombat character Bo Rai Cho and a new character called Tri-Borg, which combines existing characters Cyrax, Sektor and Robot Smoke.

According to the video, the Xenomorph will feature characteristics from Baraka's Tarkatan race, including Baraka's distinctive arm blades. Leatherface will wield his iconic chainsaw, presumably to dismember his opponents in hellacious Fatalities.

Leatherface and the Xenomorph are the third and fourth horror movie character to appear in the new Mortal Kombat game. A Predator alien from the Predator movies and Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th movies were previously made available in an earlier DLC pack. Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street was also a playable character in the last Mortal Kombat game.

Expect a formal announcement of the new Kombat Pack 2 this evening at The Game Awards.
