On "The Occupation Recalibration" episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon is complaining about being forced to take vacation from his work. Leonard goes to see Penny, because he's worried that she wants to break up with him. However, she tells him she doesn't want to break up, instead she quit her job as a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory to focus on her acting. Sheldon tries to follow Leonard to work, but Leonard tells him to stay. Sheldon sits down in the stairwell and whimpers like a puppy. Bernadette goes to the comic book store, because she accidentally destroyed one of Howie's comic books with her curling iron. Bernadette wants to get a replacement copy, but Stuart says it's a rare issue. Bernadette offers to hook him up with pharmaceuticals like anti-depressants if he can find her a copy. Raj and Howie are visiting Amy at her work, when a co-worker named Burt brings her a rock. Amy says Burt is always bringing her stuff, and Raj and Howie say it's because he has a crush on her. Penny is leaving and she sees Sheldon moping on the stairwell. When Penny asks why he's there, he tells her that Leonard told him to say. Penny says she's going to make headshots and to sign up for acting classes. Sheldon whimpers and Penny says he can come with her. Stuart says that he located that comic that Bernadette needs at Capital Comics, but he hates that place. However, Stuart says he will go with Bernadette to make sure she doesn't get ripped off. Leonard calls Penny, and she's at the Cheesecake Factory. Leonard thinks she's getting her job back, and he says she's making the right decision. However, Penny is actually just returning her uniform. Sheldon is waiting for Penny in the car, and he's upset that she forgot his lemonade. Penny asks Sheldon if he thinks that she made a mistake in quitting her job, but he tells her no. Burt comes to ask Amy to go to a rock and mineral show, but Amy says that she has a boyfriend. Burt says that he's use to people not wanting to do things with him, because he's weird and funny-looking. Amy changes he mind and says that she would love to go to the mineral show with him. Stuart and Bernadette go to Capital Comics, which is hopping with customers. The owner Jesse makes fun of Stuart. Bernadette gets mad at the way Jesse is treating her friend, so she leaves without buying the comic book from him. Raj and Howie are talking to Amy about Burt. Amy says she's going to go find Burt and tell him that she can't go with him, but Raj and Howie offer to tell him for her. Penny and Sheldon are doing Yoga. When Leonard comes in, he asks Sheldon how she got him to do Yoga. Sheldon says he thought she said Yoda. Penny and Leonard start arguing over Penny quitting her job. Sheldon inserts himself into the conversation as well. Bernadette returns to the Capital Comics to give Jesse a piece of her mind and to also buy the comic book for Howie. Burt is on his way to the rock and mineral show, along with Raj and Howie. Howie says they are sorry that Amy didn't want to go, but Burt says, "Who needs her when I have you guys?" Then, he starts chanting "rock show," as Raj and Howie slump down in their seats.
