This article contains spoilers for tonight's episode of The Big Bang Theory. During "The Hesitation Ramification" episode of The Big Bang Theory, Penny was excited about getting a small part in NCIS. However, when Penny's part got cut, she started having doubts about if she was ever going to make it as an actress. When Penny says that she's been out in LA for ten years with nothing to show for it, Leonard points out that she has him. After hearing Leonard's comment, Penny suggests they get married. Penny asks, "Lenoard Hofstadter, will you marry me?" When Leonard's response is "Um," Penny can't believe that he just said "Um." Frantically, Leonard tries to explain, "No, I love you, but you're drunk and sad and feeling lost." Penny takes back her proposal and tells Leonard that the offer is off the table. The episode ends with the future of Penny and Leonard's relationship in question. It's an ironic twist considering that Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny on the show, got married for real just a couple days ago.
