AMC has been granted a permit to build a temporary, 15-foot wall around property in Senoia, GA, where The Walking Dead is set to be filming.

With the events of the TV series moving closer to the point in the comics where Rick Grimes and company found themselves at the Alexandria Safe-Zone, the immediate instinct is to assume this construction might be plot-driven...but with so many high-profile paparazzi photos taken on set this season, it's distinctly possible that the ghouls they hope to keep out are of a more conventional variety.

The July 7 request to construct a temporary 15-foot wall around portions of the Gin Property just south of the downtown retail district received unanimous approval from the Senoia City Council, The Citizen reports. The wall will be in place from mid-September to late November.

"You've shown yourselves in the past to be good neighbors," Mayor Larry Owens said prior to the vote to approve the request. There was a minimum of disagreement all around and the motion passed easily.
