Why did Carol tell Rick Grimes to back off rather than going after Pete Anderson right away, even though she knew he was abusing his wife and child?
Well, the answer seemed pretty self-evident based on the way the story played out, but some fans continued to ask the question, so here's a bonus clip from Talking Dead online that sees actress Melissa McBride -- Carol herself -- tackle the question.
Host Chris Hardwick suggested that it was because Anderson was already close to snapping, particularly after being emasculated by a threatening visit from Carol, and McBride essentially agreed.
"For that reason -- 'Mark my words, he's going to show us who he is. You're going to have a reason to have to do this,'" McBride explained in the video you can se embedded below. "Unfortunately, Reg had to go down but Deanna made that choice. So Season Six is going to be real interesting."
The Walking Dead returns with new episodes in October, but between now and then AMC will introduce fans to a new group of survivors in Fear The Walking Dead, a companion series set in Los Angeles in the early days of the apocalypse. That series will debut sometime this summer.
