Ok, it's time for the Superman controversy of the week. In recent months, DC Comics has stirred the pot by having Superman threaten to renounce his U.S. citizenship and by switching up Superman's wardrobe. It now appears that red underoos are not the only thing that Superman might be shedding, as it's starting to look like splitsville for Clark Kent and everyone's favorite female reporter Lois Lane. Technically, Superman probably won't be divorcing Lois Lane, as more than likely it will be one of those "it never happened" comic book moments. However, DC Comics Co-Publisher Dan Didio has only hinted at what may happen, so anything is possible. When asked about the Superman and Lois Lane relationship, Didio told PopcornBiz, "Let's just say it's being reexamined, because it's something that I think is something that is so valuable to the character's story that you really want to explore all facets of it. Not just as it exists currently." Of course speculation that Superman and Lois Lane's marriage would be undone had already been running rampant in the comic book community, since the DC Comics relaunch was announced. If you think about it, Superman kicking Lois Lane to the curb might be the easiest of choices that he's had to make lately. After all, Superman wore his red underoos for 73 years, and he fought for the "American Way" for 69 years, but he's only been married to Lois Lane for 15 years.
