The City of Key West is home to many things, but one thing you wouldn't typically think to find on the island is an ode to the Flintstones.

That's indeed what some officers found though when they came across a legitimate Flintstones car parked on the side of the road. Unfortunately, it was illegally parked, and so they had to stick a red tag on it and try to find the owner before it got carted off by a tow company. The department posted a picture of the vehicle, complete with zebra seat coverings and what appear to be giant trashcan wheels, and asked for help with locating the owner.

"This Flintstone car is in front of 828 Emma Street. It is illegally parked in the public right of way. It's been red-tagged, but the City would really like to find the owner before we have to take it away. The owner has not yet come forward. Please, if you know whose it is, let them know. Please help us find the owner of this ride... QUICKLY!"

After getting a few questions asking why they couldn't just tow it, they explained that: "Correction: This vehicle cannot be considered abandoned without going through a legal process. Please help us find the owner!"

Interspersed throughout all those questions and shares, of which there were 4,827 of them, were constant references to the classic cartoon. The best one, however, was probably from the actual Flintstones account, which said: "Sorry about that! - Fred Flintstone."

Good news, though, the owner was eventually located via an updated to their original post, saying: "THE OWNER HAS BEEN LOCATED! Thanks to everyone who helped on this! And thanks for all the funny remarks. This island is awesome!"
