It looks like someone didn’t get the memo that smiles aren’t allowed when the camera is on, especially when the scene involves you in the midst of World War II with planes sailing overhead.

That’s exactly what happened though in the recent teaser trailer for Director Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Dunkirk. The trailer impressed upon release, but eagle-eyed viewers noticed something after a few run throughs, and that was a certain solider who didn’t look as terrified as the rest of his unit (via Entertainment.ie).

If you watch the trailer, it’s brief, but you can see that this soldier is more than likely reacting to Whoopi Goldberg saying something interesting on The View rather than the idea of going into battle. I imagine he completed every other take just perfectly, but unfortunately, the one he let his guard down on ended up in the final film.
Still, at least he’ll always have something cool to show people at parties.
Dunkirk releases on July 21st, 2017.
“Dunkirk” opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
