The entire world was saddened by the sudden loss of Carrie Fisher as 2016 came to a close. The writer and actress was incredibly successful in everything she did, but was most well-known for her popular role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise.

Since the 60-year-old Fisher passed away, celebrities from all walks of Hollywood took to their talk shows, interviews, and social media accounts to pay tribute to their beloved friend.
This week, Ellen DeGeneres took some time to do the same.
The popular actress, talk show host, and humanitarian was good friends with Carrie Fisher, and the loss hit her fairly hard. However, she took a couple minutes on her show to reflect on the happiness that surrounded her friendship with Fisher.
In the short video played, Ellen took a look back at the hilarious experiences and quotes that stemmed from Fisher’s appearances on the show, and it had the audience fighting back tears while laughing out loud.
As the video ended, Ellen stated that she missed and loved Carrie, just before signing off for the episode.
We all miss you Carrie, and your fans continue to thank you from the bottom of their hearts for the impact you’ve had on everyone’s lives.
