Better Call Saul has been a surprisingly successful Breaking Bad spinoff, using a prequel, interquel, and sequel approach to fleshing out the many characters that Walter White and Jesse Pinkman met along their descent into the criminal underworld.
While the first two seasons of Saul centered around Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) and Mike Ehrmantraut’s (Jonathan Banks) slide down the moral ladder, we know that slide inevitably lands them in the company of one of Breaking Bad‘s most iconic villains – and that villain is coming.

Actor Giancarlo Esposito confirmed what Better Call Saul season 2 had been hinting at all along: Gus Fring will soon be making his appearance in season 3 of Better Call Saul, when it returns on AMC this spring.
For those who haven’t caught on to the series: it’s much more than Breaking Bad fan service, with dark comedic character drama that is top-notch. If you didn’t think it was possible to get more depth from characters like Mike and Saul, you’d be wrong – so it’s exciting to imagine how we’ll get to know more of Gus, as well.
Better Call Saul season 3 premieres this spring on AMC.
