During Wednesday night’s episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke, the viewers finally got a glimpse of the reality TV production behind the cameras for My Roanoke Nightmare.

In an “unscripted” scene, a voice came from someone that was likely a producer on the show. The unidentified producer pressed Lee (Adina Porter) for more information, but she started freaking out and demanded that the cameras be turned off.

While this would be the type of behavior that you might expect out of a person who is rehashing traumatic events from their past, AHS went beyond the expectation and panned the cameras to reveal the production crew.

There was no footage shown of the person interviewing Lee, but the Internet is convinced that the voice sounded very much like Cheyenne Jackson, an American Horror Story vet.

All season long, Ryan Murphy has been teasing fans of the show with a shocking twist in Episode 6. Do you think it’s possible that the storyline could be shifting to focus on the people behind the cameras?

Murphy previously told EW, “Starting in Episode 6, the show has a huge turn and the thing that you think you’re watching is not what you’re watching,” He continued by revealing that the last five episodes of the sixth season will be very different than the first ones.

Co-creator Brad Falchuk also added, “Even though the subject matter has gotten out, it’s irrelevant because nobody gets what we’re doing.” Falchuk continued, “No matter what you think it is, it’s not that. Then, episode 6 comes and you’re like, “Wait! What happened?’”

To add more fuel to the fire, Cheyenne Jackson posted a photo from the set of Roanoke on Wednesday. The Instagram post shows two chairs with the names Cheyenne Jackson and Kathy Bates (who plays a character known as The Butcher) seated side by side. It appears that the two actors will be filming together. Check out the photo below:

A good day is imminent.

According to MTV, one fan theory that has gained some popularity hypothesizes that the “actors” portraying Shelby (Sarah Paulson), Matt (Cuba Gooding Jr.), and Lee (Angela Bassett) are filming on location at the Murder House. The theory suggests that the actors and crew could be living in their own horror story but they aren’t aware of it yet.

Do you think this was the shocking American Horror Story twist that Ryan Murphy has been promising?
