Assassin's Creed Movie Behind-The-Scenes Featurette Released

20th Century Fox has unveiled a new behind-the-scenes featurette from the set of its upcoming Assassin's Creed movie with cast descriptions of the film and some new footage.

"The assassin's are fighting for free will and their main rivals are Templars and Templars are trying to enhance humankind through science," says the film's star Michael Fassbender.

"I think Assassin's Creed has a really deep concept and idea which is going back into time and having some sort of relationship with the ancestor that's come before you," says Justin Kurzel, Assassin's Creed's director. "The overall journey of the film is through the eyes our protagonist that Michael Fassbender's playing."

"He starts to learn that he comes from a lineage of assassin's," Fassbender adds.

Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day. Assassin's Creed stars Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past, 12 Years a Slave) and Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises, La Vie en Rose).

Assassin's Creed is set for release worldwide on December 21, 2016.
