Sarah Michelle Gellar, star of the iconic Buffy: The Vampire Slayer TV series, shared her Halloween costume to her Facebook page on Monday night. Just one look at the picture and fans went all Bell Biv Devoe for the star.

That girl is poison!

Gellar went out for the night dressed as legendary Batman villain, Poison Ivy. Donning the red hair, short skirt, and tangled vines, we’d like to think she did a pretty stellar job.

Sarah Michelle Gellar leapt onto the map when she landed the title character for Joss Whedon’s popular drama Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. From 1996-2003, Gellar appeard in all 145 episodes of the series, and is still recognized as Buffy despite her other powerful roles.

Since the series ended, Gellar has had prominent roles in All My Children, The Crazy Ones, and Ringer. Some may recognize Gellar for her live-action take on the popular cartoon character Daphne from Scooby-Doo.

In the more recent years, Sarah has made a name for herself as a voice actor for various popular projects in the wide world of nerd culture. She voices many different characters for the Seth Green satire show Robot Chicken, and appears as the Seventh Sister in the Star Wars: Rebels series.

Buffy was a wonderful female icon in the 90s, and helped to show many young women that they were just as powerful, if not more so, than their male counterparts. Not many shows at the time featured this kind of lead, but Buffy set the tone for a ton of female-driven series to come after.

Sarah Michelle spent years killing vampires before an audience of millions, and it’s now evident that she is a slayer of the Halloween costume game as well.

Keep it up, Sarah!
