Carrie Fisher’s body was cremated in preparation for her memorial and burial, both of which will be held in conjunction with her mother Debbie Reynolds, who passed away the day after her daughter, E! News reports.

A private service is being held at their homes in Los Angeles on Thursday, with only family and very close friends in attendance. On Friday, the actresses will have a joint burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
Billie Lourd, Fisher’s daughter and Reynolds’ granddaughter, and Todd Fisher, Carrie’s brother and Reynolds’ daughter, have been planning the joint service. A public memorial was also talked about, but no concrete plans have been released.
Carrie Fisher died Tuesday December 27, 2016 following a cardiac arrest on the previous Friday while on a plane from London to Los Angeles. The Star Wars star was 60 years old. Her mother, the legendary actress known for Singin’ in the Rain Debbie Reynolds, died the following day at age 84 of a stroke. Todd Fisher said her last words were, “I want to be with Carrie.”
