Adam P. Knave, co-creator of Amelia Cole and a contributor to Bill and Ted’s Most Triumphant Return, Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman, and Popgun, has released the cover art for his forthcoming pulp science fiction novel, This Starry Deep.
“I’ve always loved pulp SF and wanted to write a novel playing with that toolbox but it was, by design, very much of its time,” Knave told ComicBook.com. “I needed to find a non-cynical way to update it. Keeping the hope was critical for me, as well as making it about family, both traditional and found. I wrapped it all in exploring different types and eras of SF so they could bounce off eath other and find the common threads that link them together.”

So…what’s the book actually about? Here’s the back cover blurb:
Jonah and Shae Madison were the best their generation had to offer. Throwing themselves into trouble at every turn, they spent a lot of their time fighting for what they believed in, saving countless lives. But now, having somehow made it to their sixties, they’ve happily retired. Until they’re forced, this time against their will, to save the galaxy. It’s one more time into the deepest black, together. Jonah and Shae were a force to be reckoned with, but this time they’re joined by their son, and that doesn’t make them LESS dangerous. In a galaxy pushing against them at every turn, all they have are wit, will, and most importantly each other to keep them all alive. And gravity packs. And blasters.
This Starry Deep will be published in the next month or so by Creative Guy Publishing.
