Lorenzo di Bonaventura, a producer for the entire Transformers franchise, spoke to the site about The Last Knight, rumors of potential sequels, and what to expect from the Hasbro universe going forward.

At one point, di Bonaventura let fans know that they can breathe easy, and a group of their favorite characters will be making a return in Transformers: The Last Knight.

The Dinobots are definitely coming back.

Grimlock, the most popular of the Dinobots, had a small role in the last Transformers film, Age of Extinction. The producer spoke about Grimlock’s inclusion in the new film, and revealed that his role will be much larger in the new movie.

“He’s funny. He’s like a naughty dog in this movie. He’s really sheepish when he does something wrong. He’s a great character. He’s reallyโ€“we’re bringing out a side of him that you’re going to likeโ€“you’re going to relate to.”

While fans couldn’t be more excited about Grimlock’s return, Michael Bay announced that he wouldn’t be the only T-Rex with a major part. The director revealed that the film will go Baby Groot-style, and add miniature Dinobots for comedic relief.

“We have Mini Dino’s. Those are really fun. We’ve got little mini T. Rexes. He’s just learning to spit fire. He’s just come into his powers. It’s pretty funny.”

Transformers: The Last Knight will hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
