Felicia Day, the creator of The Guild and geek celebrity, has announced the birth of her daughter.
Day tweeted out the baby’s name, Calliope Maeve, along with a photo of the child’s feet.

Day kept her pregnancy a secret until earlier this month when she was already about three weeks away from delivering. Day has chosen to keep the circumstances of her pregnancy, including the father, private.
Day is a writer and actor best known for creating the hit web series The Guild. She also appeared in the final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has had a recurring guest role on Supernatural, starred in Joss Whedon’s superhero musical Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, and wrote, produced, and starred in the Dragon Age: Redemption web series.
Day’s memoir, You’re Never Weird on the Internet (Almost), was released in 2015 and became a New York Times’ bestseller. Day also penned a comic book prequel to The Guild for Dark Horse Comics.
Day also co-founded the Geek & Sundry YouTube channel and production company, where hosted her own blog video series called The Flog. She also co-stars in a “let’s play” series titled Co-Optitude with her brother, Ryon Day, and co-hosts a romance novel video book club called Vaginal Fantasy with Bonnie Burton, Kiala Kazbee, and Veronica Belmont.
