It was only a matter of time.

Back in July, it was reported that Roderick Strong, real name Chris Lindsey, was finishing up his contract with Ring of Honor and was looking to get signed to WWE. Strong even had a farewell match and addressed the crowd about his departure.

"I never honestly thought this day would come," he said. "It's extremely overwhelming." The crowd fired back with a "you deserve it" chant, which Strong replied that what he deserves and what he wants are two different things.

"I started here at 20 years old. Next month, I will be 33. You guys saw me come in as a child and leave as a man."

It is being reported now that Strong has officially signed a WWE contract and now the anticipation builds for his long-awaited debut, but as of press time there is no official time frame for Strong's introduction to the WWE Universe.

Strong had made a very brief WWE cameo in 2005 as he faced off against Kurt Angle while Angle was doing his Kurt Angle Invitational.

Strong wrestled for Ring of Honor for 13 years as well as stints in TNA Wrestling and PWG. He is a recognized five-time world champion across the various promotions he's performed with.
