Torchwood #1, written by the Barrowman siblings, sees Captain Jack come back to Cardiff seeking the help of Gwen Cooper. Can Jack and Gwen put their differences aside long enough to rebuild Torchwood?

Titan also revealed a special convention edition of Torchwood which includes the Torchwood #1 story plus the John Barrowman and Carole E. Barrowman-penned adventure “The Selkie”, with art and a new cover from Tommy Lee Edwards (Batman, Hellboy).

Both the regular and special editions of Torchwood #1 will be available to purchase at the Titan booth #5537 at San Diego Comic-Con 2016.

John Barrowman and Carole E. Barrowman will be guests on a Titan panel where fans will be the first to announcements, behind-the-scenes reveals and upcoming plans for the Torchwood comic series. This panel will take place on Saturday, July 23 at 3:30PM in room 5AB.

Fans can also meet John Barrowman and Carole E. Barrowman at the show. They will be signing copies of Torchwood #1 on Sunday, July 24 between 11:00am and 12:00pm at Autograph Area, Table AA21.

Barrowman first played Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who. He reprised the role for the Torchwood spinoff, which aimed at a more mature demographic than typical Doctor Who stories. Beginning as a time-travelling con man who travels with the Doctor for a time. His death and resurrection leave him immortal, and he goes on to become a member of the Torchwood Institute, the secret British organizations tasked with defending Earth from supernatural and extraterrestrial threats.
