After teasing a potential return to the extremely popular HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm the cable network has confirmed that Larry David is in for a ninth season. The Emmy and Golden Globe award winning show has been absent for 5 years while it's creator and star worked on other projects.

The Seinfeld co-creator wrote and starred in the HBO original film Clear History in 2013 and has recently been having a run of guest spots on NBC's Saturday Night Live playing the presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders. In a statement released from HBO Larry David said on why he decided to come back "In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned.'"

Just five days ago Curb Your Enthusiasm regular J.B. Smoove, who plays Leon Black was on The Rich Eisen Show discussing the potential for a return:

"[Larry] starts off with his little, 'Ehhhhh, you know, I'm thinking about coming back.' But see, that's great because he has not said no, which puts us in a great position for possibilities ... that means it's still going,"

"If Larry does not say no, there's a possibility he may say yes. And then he went extra. He said, 'If I do come back, would you be available?' I said, 'You know something Larry, I'll be available. Just call me, give me early notice, and I'll be there.' I'll move anything to the side for Curb Your Enthusiasm, which would be a fabulous thing to do. Season nine would be fabulous."

Well it's now been announced but even HBO doesn't know what sort of problems Larry will get confronted with in this new season. Casey Bloys, the president of HBO programming stated, "We're thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of CURB and can't wait to see what he has planned.
