We may be called Comicbook.com, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t into movies! With so many of the big movies coming out this year falling into the category of geek-friendly genres (sci-fi, superheroes, etc.) we want to offer our readers the ability to become a regular part of the discussion!

Videos by ComicBook.com

To do that, we’ve updated our database to create anticipation ratings for each film – ratings that our readers in the Comicbook Nation can fill out for themselves each week, helping let us and other fans get an objective measurement of what kind of buzz is truly surrounding a film, and/or how one film being released that week stacks up to another, in terms of viewer anticipation.

Our first matchup comes from the two big sequels being released this week – and they couldn’t be any more different. So Which Is Your Most Anticipated Movie? The LEGO Batman Movie vs. John Wick: Chapter 2.

John Wick: Chapter 2

John Wick: Chapter 2 picks up with Keanuย Reeves’ titular hitman, as he finds himself once again embroiled in a violent fight against other mercenaries, assassins, and gangsters from his shady underworld world.ย

Our Impression:ย John Wickย Chapter 2ย looks like it’s going to deliver just as much great action as the first film – with just as much style. However, the director team from the first film (Chad Stahelskiย and David Leitch) has been split up, with only Stahelskiย returning, while Leitchย movies on toย Deadpoolย 2. So theย John Wickย sequel won’t have exactly the same flavor as the first, and we have to wonder just how much of a difference that difference makes.ย

So how eager are you to see the film?ย Rate your anticipation below!ย

The LEGO Batman Movie

The LEGO Movieย was a major runaway hit, as directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller twisted the LEGO toy line into a powerful, imaginative, and funny story about realizing one’s own potential, and how the demands of adult life can hamper our childlike wonder of the world.ย

Our Impression:ย LEGO Movie directorsย Phil Lord and Chris Miller aren’t in charge of this spinoffย chapter – and their blend of witty insight, deep sentiment, and smart twists on odd ideas is a unique signature.ย LEGO Batman has nonetheless demonstrated witty insight into its DC Comics character and his mythosย through a great advertising campaign – and the voice cast (led by Will Arnett) is pretty great. Director Chris McKay is aย Robot Chickenย veteran, so all in all, there’s every reason to have high expectations forย The LEGO Batman Movie.ย
