After two grueling weeks of filming, the pilot episode for Mayans MC has officially wrapped. The Sons of Anarchy spin-off series was given a pilot order from FX in December, and filming that initial episode is the first step towards becoming a full series.

It’s obviously too soon to see any kind of footage or trailers from the show, as it’s about to enter the post-production stage. However, the actors and creative team on Mayans have loved looping in their ever-growing fan base.

Just about every day, someone from the set was sharing a new and exciting – often times cryptic – photo from the show. Whether these images were behind-the-scenes shots, an actor getting in character, or just a new look at one of the bad-ass bikes, the show looks to be coming along nicely.

Now that filming is complete, and we all cross our fingers waiting for FX to decide on the future of the series, it’s time to look back on the events of the last two weeks. To do that, we’ve collected all of the set photos shared by the Mayans MC cast and crew.

Take a look!

New Locations

While Sons of Anarchy took place in Northern California, Mayans MC will head to the southern part of the state. This means that the spin-off needed an all-new locale to bring the club to life.ย

By the looks of the location scouting, and some of the set photos, fans will be getting a totally different series this time around.

Comfortable in this depressing ass place. Anyone surprised?

Passing The Torch

Before the Mayans MC pilot officially began shooting, the entire cast got together for the very first time. During that meeting, Sutterย revealed a note from the original Sons of Anarchy cast.

The note welcomed the new cast, let them know how much the series truly meant to them, and officially passed the torch to a new generation.

This was likely a touching moment for everyone involved, and it even hit many of the fans right in the feels.

Brotherhood

Sons of Anarchy wouldn’t have been nearly as successful as it was, if the cast hadn’t gotten as close as they did. The men who starred on that show formed a brotherhood like television had never seen before. Many of them are still close friends to this day.

By the looks of things, it’s safe to say the cast of Mayans MC is already building a similar bond. Many of these actors have been spending a lot of time together since joining the cast, and some have even worked together on shows before.

For example, Clayton Cardenas and Richard Cabral had been working side-by-side on American Crime‘s third season, and they have continued their friendship after both landed parts in Mayans MC.

Iconic Style

Throughout Sons of Anarchy, fans fell in love with the sleek and dangerous style of the club’s wardrobe. From their awesome facial hair, to the authentic look of their kuttes, the SOAย cast had a look all their own.

Mayans MC is mirroring that authenticity, and blending it with perfect Latino influence. In every shot of these new characters on set, you find yourself forgetting that these guys are just actors.

Just like its predecessor, the Mayans MC costume department is doing on hell of a job.

And…ACTION!

Throughout the two weeks the cameras were rolling, the cast were put through some intense action sequences, as well as some truly emotional scenes.

We won’t see any of this footage until the show finally airs in the fall, but fans did get a small taste of some of these scenes via social media.

Many of these images don’t really offer any detail, but they have the makings of an epic series nontheless.

Epic Bikes

Not that there was any doubt in our minds, but the bike that will be featured on Mayans MC look beautiful.

Many members of the Sons of Anarchy rode Harley Dynaย Wide Glides, but the Mayans always had a much different approach.

Marcus Alvarez had a stylish, one-of-a-kind motorcycle throughout the original series, and his new crew are giving his classic ride a run for its money.

That’s A Wrap

The final day of filming took place this week, and the Mayans MC pilot is headed to post-production. There, it will be edited, mixed, and turned into the final product that will be turned in to FX.

To commemorate the last day, and to celebrate a job well done, many of the cast and crew posted photos and videos from the set.ย

Just a heads up, there may be some not-so-safe-for-work language in the videos.
