That’s a wrap! After two long weeks of filming, Kurt Sutter has officially announced the pilot shoot for Mayans MC – the highly anticipated Sons of Anarchy spin-off – is complete.

Instead of just making the announcement, Sutter shared an explosive photo from the final day of filming. The image shows dark smoke surrounding two characters, with a motorcycle in the foreground.
If you look closely at the men, it’s easy to see that there will be a big conflict in the pilot episode. One man is standing in the street, with a gun aimed in front of him. Another man kneels, with his hands in the air, at the other end of the gun.
Sutter utilized the caption to tell his fans that this came from the final day of filming, and that the show will definitely, “Blow s*@% up.”
While the image itself is pretty awesome, it’s the message that is the most exciting. The Mayans MC pilot has wrapped, which puts the show one step closer to becoming a full-fledged series.
FX ordered a pilot from Kurt Sutter and Elgin James back in December. This means that the creators could make one episode, and that hour of television would determine whether or not the network moved forward with a whole season.
With the belief FX has in Sutter, and the success of Sons of Anarchy, it would be a major surprise if Mayans MC wasn’t picked up.

Sons Of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter is directing the pilot, with a script written by showrunner Elgin James. If picked up to series, the show will likely air on FX this fall.
