Netflix has released the trailer for Season 3 of the dark sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror.

Black Mirror is a British anthology series created by Charlie Brooker. In the spirit of The Twilight Zone, Black Mirror black explores alternate realities where humanity's thirst for technology and its darker impulses have come together to form a pleasant nightmare.

Black Mirror Season 3 will continue the show's tradition of casting a-list talents from around the world. The cast of Black Mirror Season 3 includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve, James Norton and Cherry Jones in Episode 1, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, Wunmi Mosaku and Ken Yamamura in Episode 2, Alex Lawther & Jerome Flynn in Episode 3, Gugu Mbatha-Raw & Mackenzie Davis in Episode 4, Malachi Kirby, Michael Kelly, Madeline Brewer & Sarah Snook in Episode 5, and Kelly Macdonald & Faye Marsay.

Past stars include Toby Kebbell, Hayley Atwell, Domnhall Gleeson, and Jon Hamm.

Black Mirror aired for two three-episode seasons, plus a special, on Britain's Channel 4. The series was renewed by Netflix for two additional six-episode seasons.

Robert Downey Jr. optioned the rights to the Black Mirror episode titled "The Entire History of You," written by Jesse Armstrong, with plans to adapt it into a film by Warner Bros. and Downey's own Team Downey production company. "The Entire History of You" explored an alternate world where everyone had a memory implant that made it so they would never forget a face and explores the ramifications of that alteration. The episode starred Toby Kebbell and Jodie Whittaker, with Tom Cullen and Jimi Mistry.

Black Mirror Season 3 will premiere on Netflix.
