Lionsgate and Saban Films have released five new character posters for the upcoming Saban’s Power Rangers reboot movie. The posters feature the new cast playing the five original Power Rangers: Dacre Montogomery as Jason, the Red Ranger, Becky G as Trini, the Yellow Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy, the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly, the Pink Ranger, and Ludi Lin as Zack, the Black Ranger. See all five posters in the gallery below.
The five young rangers are joined by veteran actors Bryan Cranston as their mentor, Zordon, and Elizabeth Banks as the villain, Rita Repulsa. David Denman plays Jason’s father, Sam.
Lionsgate previously released a teaser poster for the film, as well as a photograph revealing how Banks looks as the Power Rangers’ iconic enemy. Lionsgate also announced Comic-Con plans for the Power Rangers.
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
Saban’s Power Rangers is directed by Dean Israelite (Project Almanac). Principal photography began in late February in Vancouver, British Columbia and wrapped in late May.
